I have found such a perfect mix of art, utility, creativity and community in sewing and quilting and sharing online. I have loved reading hundreds of blogs and starting this one. I'm so happy you have joined me along the way. I want to give back to you a little of the love, support, fabric and goodness that I've received. This giveaway is just for you!
(Giveaway is closed)
1. Coordinated Cute
What kind of fabric would you like to win? I've got all these little bundles made. Do you like cute, coordinated, scrappy, traditional...
3. Traditional French General and Low Volume
I did say I'd throw in a little extra, so I'll throw in one of this kind of thread
Feel free to let me know if you like Aurifil in neutral or in color and what color family you might like. If I have that color, or neutral, I'll throw it in. Or I can pick a color or neutral of my choice because I mean, Aurifil in any color is fantastic. I had heard about it online but none of my local stores carried it. Then I won a box and I really do love it. My machine sews beautifully with it, there is no breaking and piecing and quilting are speedy and work just as they should. I've no association with Aurifil I just really like the thread and bought these spools with my own hard earned cash. My local stores are starting to carry it so I picked some up when they were 10 percent off.
Some pieces are fat quarters, some larger, some a bit smaller. All are brand spankin' new and looking for a loving home. I will stuff as much fabric as I can in an envelope as long as the shipping remains at or less than 10 dollars to domestic U.S. and at or less than 15 dollars for overseas. What do you need to do to win? You just need to be a follower and tell me what kind of fabric you like in general and specifically which stack, or stacks, you like and I'll send bundles along to two lucky winners.
I'll leave the giveaway open until Sunday night May 25 at 11:59 pm MST. The random number generator will pick two winners who will be notified by email. Winners have to respond within 24 hours or another winner will be chosen as per aforementioned RNG. Because winners are notified by email, if you are a no-reply blogger you need to leave your email in your comment. If there is no email associated with your name I will re-draw with RNG for a new winner.
5. Cute and Polka Dots
I just noticed there's not a lot of modern graphic prints here so if you like that or texty let me know as I've some of those as well. (I know the numbers are out of order but as people had selected numbers they liked already, I'll leave it this way :) )
Good luck! I hope you win and get a good bunch of fabrics that you like :) I am responding to all of your comments so if you don't hear from me you are probably a no-reply blogger and I have no way to reach you and you won't be able to win. How do you check if you are no-reply? Wendy at On the Windy Side can help.
loves,
Jeifner

i love text prints and low volume lately. so nice of you to have another give away; thank you!!!
ReplyDeleteOh wow - you certainly have a delicious knack of putting fabrics together! I would be happy with any or ALL of those!!! I learned about Aurifil the same way - I won a set of 5 mini spools and one was a green which I have used all of and since replaced with a big spool. Yum. I love texty fabrics too. Have a great day!
ReplyDeleteExciting giveaway! I like the "cute and polka dots" but I also like modern graphic prints and texty fabrics. Any Aurifil thread would be lovely as I have not had a chance to try any of it yet.
ReplyDeleteI like low volume and text too!
ReplyDeleteThanks!
I like modern, graphic & low volume fabrics. I've been sewing with Aurifil for a little while & I love it too! I've only used white & grey so a colour might be fun. Thanks for the lovely giveaway.
ReplyDeleteI like coordinated fabrics and Aurifil thread in neutral. Thanks for the chance
ReplyDeleteCute and polka dots bundle works for me! I normally go for co-ordinated blender types, with a hint of cute :) Oh and you choose on the thread- it all gets used! Thanks for the giveaway.
ReplyDeleteGreat giveaway! I'll the thanks, as you give inspiration with your blog posts! I love all kinds of fabric and thread, but these days I am drawn to lighter, low volume fabric and textured prints. Polka dots are always fun! Aurifil threads are great, if I win, I would love thread that coordinates with the fabric.
ReplyDeleteThanks!
I love number 3. Im actually covetting it. What a beautiful fabric mixture!
ReplyDeleteI am really into a bit of everything lately! I have two children, so I love novelty and cute prints to use for projects for them. I have never tried Aurifil, but I quilt with both neutrals and colors.
ReplyDeleteI love the cute and polka dots, and the juvenile novelty fabrics. All yummy pulls, and super generous :-)
ReplyDeleteI love following your blog, so I'm going to sneak in a comment :-)
ReplyDeleteI love low volume and text. And I have surprisingly little of it. But as I am in Aussie, the shipping can get a bit on the pricey side, so I shop by envelope size - as soon as the sipping rate goes up the cart starts to get emptied - and the first things out are usually the low vol. :-(
E xx
I follow on bloglovin.
ReplyDeleteI've been making baby quilts lately, so I've been going after cute little prints (I'm currently using a Cinderberry print as the main fabric for my latest project).
My favorite would be number 1.
I agree, the quilty blogosphere is a happy and supportive community, and I'm glad to be part of it!
ReplyDeleteI wouldn't say no to any of your fabric choices. I'm currently making kids' quilts, so choices 1, 4, and 5 are especially appealing! As far as thread goes, I'd love a coordinating color to FMQ with.
Thanks for the fun give-away!
PS, I've been reading on my rss feed, and have just officially made myself a follower.
ReplyDeletelove Aurifil thread too - my machine does as well. I have basic neutrals & would like to expand coordinated colors + cooridinate fabrics. Great creative giveaway.
ReplyDeleteWow what an incredible giveaway - I agree that you have the knack of putting fabrics together - I envy that :D I've been making toddler quilts lately, and have some toddler messenger bags planned, so anything suitable for kiddies would be fun!
ReplyDeleteVery nice fabric pulls, I lean towards the blenders and text prints so I would have to go with bundle 5. I use Aurifil almost exclusively, using the white and the light gray the most.
ReplyDeleteI love 2, 5 & 3! You have put together such cute bundles! As far as thread goes, if I win, just whatever matches the bundle I win : ) Thanks so much for the chance!
ReplyDeleteI love the lemon summer kitchen!!! Well, really I love anything yellow, but that kitchen print is adorable.
ReplyDeletelove your giveaway, thanks
ReplyDeleteI love how you pick and coordinate your fabrics!:) i have no idea which style I am, but my favourite designers are Heather Ross and Suzuko Koseki. That green polkadotty red riding hood and the soft brown gingham in the coordinated cute bundle really draw me in! :D I also love white and happy colours like aqua or soft pink Aurifil thread. thanks for this post! It really gets lots of ideas coming in:)
ReplyDeleteHi! I love #5 the cute and polka dots and I would love aqua Aurifil thread. Thank you so much for this giveaway. How nice!
ReplyDeleteI love bundle 5, and any color thread! I am a new follower via bloglovin. You put together some great bundles, thank you for the giveaway!
ReplyDeleteI like the first bundle and the last bundle. I sew for two girls, so those would be great for us. I would love to try the aurifil thread. I've read about it but not tried it yet. I tend to sew more with warm colors than cool. Thanks for the giveaway!
ReplyDeleteLoooove Coordinated Cute!! (& your #1. bundle is Adorable!!) I have never used Aurifil.....note sure what I like...but know a nuetral would go with lots of colors :)
ReplyDeleteGenerally, I like smaller floral prints. I love your Traditional French General bundle that you made, and I love neutral thread. Thanks!
ReplyDeletedbelliott@outlook.com
Number one is my favorite. :) Also...why are your numbers not in order??? 1,3,2,4. Hehe! Are you playing tricks on us?
ReplyDeleteI Would love anything that you can stuff on a 15 usd envelope!!! Over here this type of fabrics doesn't exists, so It's imposible for me choose one. Thanks!!
ReplyDeleteHola Jen! Que sorteo mas generoso! Eres un sol! Amo Aurifil y no tengo nada en la gama de los azules/verdes. Y de tus telas, me encantan Coordinated Cute y Low Volume. La que tu prefieras. Un beso!
ReplyDeleteI like more old fashioned, floral prints, and pink, pink, pink! My favorite of the above bundles is the Traditional French General. I guess I would say neutral thread, or a color that matches the fabric. Thank you so much for letting us pick! I really like your blog. Why is it called Secondhand Dinosaur? sarah@forrussia.org
ReplyDeleteLove polka dots!! I like scrappy and low volume and color and coordinated, I guess I like it all! Have not the honor to sew with Aurifil, but have heard so much fantastic stuff about it. :)
ReplyDeletecraftyccain@gmail.com
Hi Jen, great giveaway! My favorite is cute and polka dots but I do like text too. Thread color? You choose, I'll use it. Keep up the good work, I enjoy following you!
ReplyDeleteThe first bundle was extra sweet and I love anything French General - you are very generous! I have not used Aurifil and I would let you choose for me if I won. Thank you and have a great week!
ReplyDeleteI love the coordinated cute fabrics, but I'm also a huge fan of the French General! I've never used Aurifil but have heard such great things about it..I tend to use more neutral threads. Thanks!

ReplyDeleteI am all about Cute! #1 and #5 plus I love text prints, Aurifil is awesome, any Aurifil I will dig :) You still haven't been able to get up that cute dinosaur with the needle and thread through the mouth? Do you know Erin at Sew at Home Mummy? She is doing a series on how to beautify the blog that helps with headers and stuff. http://www.sewathomemummy.com/2014/04/beautify-your-blog-week-3-beautiful.html
ReplyDeleteI would choose #4 please! I follow with bloglovin. Lovely giveaway!
ReplyDeleteI really like the lemon summer kitchen. I haven't tried Aurifil yet so any color would be great. Thanks for the giveaway, fingers crossed.
ReplyDeleteI love the coordinated cute. As for thread, I would say your choice. I have thread in blues, greens, white, black and purple. The only colors I might not have are yellows and oranges, but that is because I don't use those colors of fabric very much. If you have an extra spool of a color that coordinates with the coordinated cute bundle, go for that.
ReplyDeleteI follow on gfc.
Ooooh! Every bundle is so darn nice or cute... tough decision! But! if I had to choose because I won, it would be #5 Cute and Polka Dots!! Thanks for celebrating your followers!!
ReplyDeleteYou got the talent to put fabrics together, I'm horrible I have to ask to everyone before I start sewing lol. I like the Juvenile and cute fabrics, also recently I won a giveaway and receive a small box of Aurifil, they really are great!

ReplyDeleteI love that cute and polka dot bundle! And colored thread. :)
ReplyDeleteReading your blog now on Feedly.
I am currently leaning to the neutrals. All of your bundles are so stinking cute, that I'd gladly accept anything you selected. You know, a quilter has never seen an ugly piece of fabric. Only one that needs a companion piece to let it shine.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the give away.
I'm a new follower via email.i just love the coordinated cute prints, dying to try out the aurifil thread,I've only just started to quilt again after doing beginners class about 3 years ago. A little rusty but it would be amazing to try out some new threads and fabric :)

Thanks for the chance! jeanneray at gmail
ReplyDeleteI love all of them - and would have a use for any of them! LOL! I am following via email.
ReplyDeleteOooh, that summer kitchen bundle really speaks to me! As for Aurifil, I'm.surprised how many spools I have in blue. I just like blue! I will say Ihad a cone of beige on my domestic and Ihave used it all up! I love it!

ReplyDeleteI really like Lemon Summer, but would love any of them. I have been trying to find the Aurili thread so I can try it. I can't find it in any of the sewing store that I go to and ordering it on line is very expense. I like colors better than nuteral.
